aka Nandu [Pooja Hegde] in the first sight. On the flip side, Nandu has
bitter experiences every time she meets Karthik and rejects his proposal
straight away. God has planned something other for Nandu that she gets
engaged to Kathik, unknowingly. Nandu accepts the fate or reveal her
hatred to her parents? Will Karthik win his love? Forms the crux of Oka
Laila Kosam...
Performances:
Naga Chaitanya shines
in rom-com role. His performance is fresh with well improved
expressions. Chay surpassed with his dance skills and couple of upright
fight sequences.
Pooja Hegde is a
welcoming actress. Oka Laila Kosam is best debut for her. She has good
scope for acting. Excelled with her performance and looks gorgeous,
thanks to her costume designer too.
Ali is saluter. He
takes complete responsibility to keep droll audiences in regular
intervals. He has done good job in company with Sathyam Rajesh and
Dhanraj.
Technical Analysis:
Director Vijay Kumar Konda has come up
with a not so fresh story line, though the narration is interesting with
all the necessary commercial elements. Screenplay of the could have
been better with added twist and turns, especially in the second half.
Anoop Rubens music definitely takes the movie a step higher. Songs are well picturized and well choreographed.
I Andrew's cinematography is one more
highlight of Oka Laila Kosam. Well captured locations, well-favoured
angles in fights and colorful songs.
Editing by Praveen Pudi could have been
much better. Though the first half of Oka Laila Kosam is entertaining in
acceptable pace, counterpart is slack.
Analysis:
Oka Laila Kosam is an apt title for the
script by Vijay Kumar Konda. Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde director has to
be lauded for making a promising film, which is a slip with slow
screenplay that is highly predictable once the twist is revealed.
Heroine’s character lacks clarity in
certain places and emotional scenes could have been elevated. On the
whole movie can be justified more properly towards the end.
First half of Oka Laila Kosam is racy
and best in the form of entertainment, while second half is bit drag
with nothing new to offer.
Final Verdict: Feel Good Romantic Entertainer --- Watchable.
